Anybody ever seen this stuff? Sounds interesting, have no idea I would use it for at the moment but looks like a product I'm going to file for future reference. http://www.bolderbond.com/products-bolderwrap.php Cheers

John: Did you ck. out the cost for a 8' roll. With shipping it will be over $20.00 a roll. At that price I don't think it will see my tool bag. I'm sure in a very extreme situation it would justify the cost. "Oldman"

If you read the directions you probably would only order in the 4' packages because once it's opened it's done.

Stack tester like me couldn't servive without duct tape (will maybe we could, but we would create a huge demand for baling wire). However now matter how good this stuff is, I couldn't justify the cost.

OK, I'm not selling this stuff, I'm not advocating anyone run out and buy a bunch of it, I'm not trying to justify the cost. I just like to be aware of new technologies and capabilities and thought some others do also. As far as I'm concerned it is simply a solution in search of a problem Cheers

John: I know your not trying to sell it and thank you for pointing it out to us. Please re-read my last sentence of my post. "I'm sure in a very extreme situation it would justify the cost." Quote, .... "EXTREME SITUATIONS". We encounter many situations where we have to spend a little more for a project to save cost in the long run. But the cost does need to be justified. "Oldman"

Hey Newbi,
Thanks for the info. I have an application right now that I am contemplating sending for that boulderwrap. I have wood, plastic, and metal to join together for an outdoor project. I have been putting it off because I really didn't want to do it, but now I have an easy way to join everything. Because with weather is getting cold I am going to wait till next year, At least now I have a solution to my dilemma.

After reading about the product, it seems you could acheive the same affect using fiberglass wrap and a bottle of the polyurethane adhesive. A much cheeper route. Most wood workers/Handymen/women have a bottle around all the time. If I am not mistaken Garilla glue is a polyurethane adhesiv. I use that glue for -almost- every repair. Anyways thank you for the future referance, Yes it might be usefule in those exstreem moments where the Duck tape will not work........... If you cant nail it, screw it or glue it... Then duck tape it!
